[info]

what it is

A live cryptocurrency price terminal. It shows the top coins by market cap, sorted however you like, and refreshes itself while you leave it open.

There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

the data

where do the prices come from?

From livecoinwatch.com, which aggregates across exchanges. MoonTerminal does not set or adjust any price.

how fresh is it?

New prices land every 15 seconds. The [updated] counter in the footer tells you how long ago. It turns amber after 2 minutes and red after 5, so you always know when a number has gone stale.

how many coins can i see?

Up to 5,000, using the [coins] selector. More coins means a bigger download, so start small if you are on a phone.

reading the table

what does $0.0545 mean?

It is a very small number written short. The small digit is how many zeros come after the decimal point, so that one is 0.0000045. Without it the row would be mostly zeros.

what are the badges?

[NEW] is a coin under 30 days old. [ATH] means the price is at or above its recorded all time high. [☠DEAD] means 24 hour volume is zero, or under 0.01% of market cap, which usually means nobody is trading it. A brand new coin with no trading yet can show both [NEW] and [☠DEAD].

can i keep a coin in view?

Click the star at the left of any row to pin it to the top. Pins survive a reload. Sort by clicking a column heading.

privacy

do i need an account?

No, and there is no way to make one.

does it use cookies?

No. Your pinned coins are kept in your own browser and never sent anywhere.

what gets collected?

Page views, through Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless and stores nothing that identifies you.
